I Can Never Eat Enough: Suki-Ya

Posted on

The day Viv officially announced that she’s gonna kill me on twitter, I was on my way to meet her for dinner.

Thank God I am still alive to blog this! ;-p

The reason for her mad urge to kill me shall remain a mystery. LOL.

We went to Suki-Ya at Tampines Mall Basement 1 (paid about $25 per pax on a friday)…. Ahhh… Tampines is such a lovely place. We were saying with almost everything available, we shall never go to town area anymore!

You should be able to deduce that we are absolute mushroom & veggie lovers! And tofu!

In case you’re like me – 1st timers pls read the instructions & pretend this is not your 1st time. ;-)

Fortunately, Viv momentarily forgot she wanna kill me. *happy with her pot of mushrooms*

While waiting for her food to be cooked, she decided not to waste time by “steaming” her face for blood circulation. HAHAHA!

Oh, we had the sukiyaki soup (which is too sweet & salty for my liking) & the clear soup (much better).

We prefer beef over chicken! Never try the pork though.

Other than the 3 meats available, the rest of this steamboat buffet is a great variety of vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, meatballs & garnish.

Healthy – I like!

My very own yolky dip for my beef.

I have the habit of “poking”/”piercing” my food in round shapes (esp if I don’t know what they really are) into half etc. Glad I did, else this cheesy chicken ball will sure spurt!

I tell you! It’s loads of cheese! Oozing out non-stop!!

The cheese tasted very nice! Something like cheeseballs (the tidbits?), very thick and savory.

1 more close-up for you to drool! lol!

How about some DIY Ice Cream?

I think I made a very pretty one! ;-D

I had craving the following week & went again, with C this time round! We wanted the Spicy Miso (waitress said only available on weekends), well nvm, Kimchi soup is awesome too! With Udon in it!

Try it, if you haven’t!

Till then, I’m off for other great eats! (oh, no! I should study for exam first!)
