Review: Beauty Clinic 2-Step Masks!

It’s masking time!!

I was “prescribed” with a weeks worth of Beauty Clinic 2 step Masks to try out a month ago!

I’ve received 2 doses of “Whitening Smart Laser” and 2 doses of “Aqua Smart Filler” after stating that my current skin concerns are dehydration and pigmentation/scars.

The Aqua Smart Filer series would help in hydrating my skin while the Whitening Smart Laser will help lightens my scars and pigmentation.

The 2-step masks like its name suggest comes in 2 steps. Once, apply the mask ampoule all over your face, pat it lightly to ensure that it’s absorbed. Then followed by applying the mask sheet.

The texture of both ampoules is thick yet can be absorbed into the skin easily with patting. I usually chill my masks before using it and the cooling sensation helps calm the skin too if you have sensitive skin like me.

The mask sheet itself it super thin and it felt like skin on skin when you put it on. It adhere to the skin pretty well and definitely won’t fall off when you go about doing your chores while masking.

It is recommended to use this mask twice a week so technically 4 dosage can last you for 2 weeks. However, I am an intensive mask user who masks every other 2 days, which is why this is a 1 week dose for me. I alternate the mask, using the Aqua then the Whitening one as recommended for best efficiency.

After using the masks, I noticed that my skin tone is brighter overall, some of my scars do seem to be lighter too but I feel that it’s more of an overall brightening effect. My skin is also much plump up and feels less tight after using the masks.

Overall I rate these masks a 4/5 as my skin does have a difference after using it. I really like how the essence are more of a thick and slightly gooey texture.

Review: Lovemore Kiss Purple Crystal & Peptide Duo Lifting Mask

Here’s another review! I also received this Lovemore Kiss Purple Crystal & Peptide Duo Lifting Mask from Secretive. This mask consists of peptide which stimulates collagen production which helps improve skin elasticity.

The Lovemore masks comes in box of 5 which can last me 1 to 2 weeks.

I love the packaging of this mask, lovely shade of purple and princessy design.

This mask is also relatively thick and not too thin. Like the sexylook one, it’s soaked with the essence.

Comes with ear hooks too for that lifting effect and if you notice the sheet mask design is not plain and has more texture.

The fit of the mask is quite ok, wide enough but not long enough. I feel that it does not fit as well. The ear hooks are not as tight but it’s actually more comfortable.

Skin do feel more refreshed and smoother after masking. I would rate this a 3.5/5 as I felt this it would be better if it’s of a better fit.

Review: Sexy Look Extreme Whitening Duo Lifting Mask

Was sent two types of masks by Secretive and one of them is the Sexy Look Extreme Whitening Duo Lifting Mask.

I’ve personally tried the Hello Kitty range by Sexy Look before and love it. What I love is the ear hooks which not only keep the mask in place and also give a lifting effect.

Main ingredient of this whitening mask is Black Pearl which is a well known and widely used ingredient for whitening masks. It aims to whiten and help even out the skin tone. And of course, most mask as such helps hydrates the skin.

Sexy Look masks comes in a pack of 5 pieces. Normally for me, a pack of 5 usually last one week or two weeks. This is because I mask every 2 to 3 days. Which I feel will give the maximum effect.

Each mask pack feels thick and heavy unlike some masks which can be quite light.

The sheet mask is thick and thoroughly soaked with the essence.

The mask is thick but not too thick. Thickness is just nice as it will easily tear if too thin.

The mask comes with two ear hooks. One by the side.

The other from the chin/neck flap which will actually help in lifting up the face.

It looks like this after hooking up. The mask is in place tightly in contact with the skin which helps in absorption process.

Look at how well the mask lies on the skin. No worries about it dropping off if you’re those that do not stay still while masking.

Skin feels moist and more firmed up after masking.

Overall, it brighten up the skin tone after one usage. Have used it twice and I do feel that my skin seems brighter. My skin do also felt firmer which I think is due to the lifting feature of the mask.

Definitely a 4/5 rating for this mask. Just the right thickness and I love the ear hooks which keeps it in place. For those who like to do other stuff while masking like me, blogging while masking, this is the right mask for you! XD

L’Oreal Paris White Perfect Laser Event

Attended an event on L’Oreal White Perfect Laser products that is launching coming 17th May.

The new White Perfect Laser range is said to be provide results comparable to that of 1 IPL treatment at a fraction of it’s price. It is one of the latest breakthrough for whitening for L’Oreal.

The new range consists of 2 products, the Anti – Spot Brightening Essence and the Day Cream. L’Oreal has conducted a research that by using these 2 products together for 8 weeks, the results are comparable to an IPL treatment and can provide 68% more radiance.

There was a little demo done to show how bad ageing is from all the UV rays. June volunteered for the demo and we can see how pigmentation can really make one looks old. Using the White Perfect Laser range, can brighten up our complexion, lightens pigmentation to make one look younger. And we should not forget about UV protection. L’Oreal have a good range of sunscreen, the UV perfect with different formulas to suit different skin types.

Products that are comparable to IPL at a fraction of its price. Ain’t it tempting?

Put a Stop to Your Spots! Vichy Bi-White Reveal

Attended the Vichy Bi-White Reveal workshop last thursday! It was held at Once Upon A Milkshake and it was a cosy affair with 9 other bloggers along with the Vichy Team plus Pearlin and colleagues. XD

We were given a talk by Dr. Jonathan Lee on spots and pigmentation. It’s was very informative and now I know that there are different type of pigmentation and different types of treatmeant for each type of pigmentation.

Most of you might already know this but sun protection is a very important step to prevent pigmentation! Start using that sunscreen if you have not! Guys too, sunscreen is important to protect us from harmful UV rays!

Afterthat, Wyman from Vichy gave us an overview of the Bi-White Reveal products and share with us about the star product of the range, the Bi-White Reveal Deep Cell Whitening Spot Intervention.

 

 

The spot Intervention consists of 5x more LHA and 2x more Ceremide White compared to the other products in the range and hence more concentrated and can target the spots from the inner layers of the skin. It targets all kind of spots on the face and also the hand.As per all Vichy products, the spot intervention is suitable for sensitive skin too!

The Bi-White Reveal range consists of active ingrdients like the LHA, Ceremide White and Vitamin C which helps to prevent melanin production, exfloliates and to whiten.

If you have spots as such below:

Sun spots
Freckles
Melasma (hyperactive melanin production)
Age spots
Hand spots
Acne marks
Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

The spot intervention is able to help lighten such spots and prevents production of melanin which is the main cause of the spots when it’s not evenly spread out.

The Bi-White Reveal Deep Cell Whitening Spot Intervention will be retailing at $59 for 15ml tube and is available at Vichy Counters from March onwards.

 

We also had a hands on session on making our very own Vanilla Milkshake topped with Cranberries which is filled with Anti-Oxidants that is very good for the skin! That little cup of Milkshake is super thick! Made with 2 big scoops of ice cream and only 60 ml of milk! Yummy!

 

Will be starting on the Bi-White Reveal range soon next week! Hopefully it can fade out my ugly acne marks and the few freckles I had! Stay tune to my review!

Review: Rojukiss STIM White Cell Natural

I received the serums and sunblock for review.

 

Stim Cell Natural Serum For Light Tone

- Suitable for those who just wanted to maintain their fairness, eg those who gets tan easily.

Stim Cell Natural Serum For Dark Tone

- Suitable for those who have pigmentation or  brown skin tone.

 

I used the light tone one all over my face while using the dark tone one on my acne scars and some brown spots.

However, I think for my skin tone, it’s better to just use the light tone one for overall.

After 1 month of using, I did notice that my skin is slightly brighten but my spots remains.

The serums retails at a package of 3X 10ml at $59.90

 

Stim Cell Natural Sunscreen with SPF 50 PA+++

UV Scatter means that it reflects out and scatter sunlight. This sunblock also provides up to 12 hours of sun protection.

It has quite a watery consistency but it’s absorbed very quickly when applied. Not sticky after applying, instead skin feels quite smooth.

I noticed that my face looks brighter after applying the sunblock. In fact, this sunblock is my favorite item of out the 3. I highly recommend this sunblock to those that dislike those cream textured ones. It also had a nice fragrance to it.

This retails at $39.90 for a 50ml bottle.
