September BellaBox: Out with the Old… In with the New

The theme behind BellaBox this month is to encourage us to try out new products, new brands. I’m pretty sure most of us will tend to stick to a particular product and not change it. But we all know that our skin condition will change over time? For example, if we are using acne products, it’s time to stop when the acne have stop appearing and maybe switch to whitening or hydrating products. Even for hair products, it’s encourage to change your type of shampoo every three months. XD

P.S: I did note that the Rimmel Mascara that I’ve received was manufactured in July’10 which I believed most had the same problem with the Rimmel products that they have received. In my opinion, it might be error with the distributor side?

This month’s Bellabox might not be spectacular but hopefully it will be better for the coming months! XD Simply because the idea of beauty boxes is really great. :)

Attended Vichy Spa Water workshop few weeks back!

Do you know that Vichy Spa Water is used in every single product in Vichy line?

Vichy is actually a town in France, and is home to loads of thermal springs in which the Lucas Spring is where they have been drawing the spa water from since the 17th century!

I have to agree that it’s good in reducing redness! I have used it before and it really helps sooth my skin.

Put a Stop to Your Spots! Vichy Bi-White Reveal

Attended the Vichy Bi-White Reveal workshop last thursday! It was held at Once Upon A Milkshake and it was a cosy affair with 9 other bloggers along with the Vichy Team plus Pearlin and colleagues. XD

We were given a talk by Dr. Jonathan Lee on spots and pigmentation. It’s was very informative and now I know that there are different type of pigmentation and different types of treatmeant for each type of pigmentation.

Most of you might already know this but sun protection is a very important step to prevent pigmentation! Start using that sunscreen if you have not! Guys too, sunscreen is important to protect us from harmful UV rays!

Afterthat, Wyman from Vichy gave us an overview of the Bi-White Reveal products and share with us about the star product of the range, the Bi-White Reveal Deep Cell Whitening Spot Intervention.

 

 

The spot Intervention consists of 5x more LHA and 2x more Ceremide White compared to the other products in the range and hence more concentrated and can target the spots from the inner layers of the skin. It targets all kind of spots on the face and also the hand.As per all Vichy products, the spot intervention is suitable for sensitive skin too!

The Bi-White Reveal range consists of active ingrdients like the LHA, Ceremide White and Vitamin C which helps to prevent melanin production, exfloliates and to whiten.

Freckles
Melasma (hyperactive melanin production)
Age spots
Hand spots
Acne marks
Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

We also had a hands on session on making our very own Vanilla Milkshake topped with Cranberries which is filled with Anti-Oxidants that is very good for the skin! That little cup of Milkshake is super thick! Made with 2 big scoops of ice cream and only 60 ml of milk! Yummy!

 

Will be starting on the Bi-White Reveal range soon next week! Hopefully it can fade out my ugly acne marks and the few freckles I had! Stay tune to my review!

Vichy Zero Imperfection Challenge

I’m sure most of you have heard about the Vichy’s Zero Imperfection Challenge that is ongoing now.

Last week, I went to Vichy’s office for the challenge briefing and also a mini workshop on Vichy Normaderm’s product.

 

Here’s the range of Normaderm’s product~ XD

Vichy Normaderm’s products sold in SG are specially adjusted to Asian’s skin. So if you happen to buy Vichy’s product from Europe, it might not be very suitable as Asian’s and European’s skin conditions are different. It’s best to buy Vichy products from local counters where you can also get a complementary skin analysis so that you know which products you should get that is suitable for your skin condition! XD

This is their star product! The Anti Imperfection Hydrating Care moisturizer.

It’s very light and absorbs quite fast into the skin leaving the skin smooth and also has a mattifying effect.

This is the moisturizer for night. Why is there a different moisturizer for night you might ask?

This is because the sebum that are produced day and night are different and hence a different moisturizer is needed to control the oil!

The texture is slightly creamier then the day one.

This is the Anti Imperfection Stick which acts as an concealer and also dry out blemishes at the same time.

The color is very close to our skin tone, and the texture is very smooth.

This the the Pore Resurfacing Essence which will help to minimize the appearance of our horrible large pores.

It has a gel like texture and is absorbed into the skin very quickly.

We each have to go through a sebum test to test the level of sebum of our skin.

“Now they will know how oily my skin is! ><”

Yes, I have oily skin!

The T-Zone is higher at 4 while the U-Zone is at 3 which is a moderate level.

I have not featured the cleansers and skin lotion in this post, but I will be doing a proper review of the products after I used them for a period of time. I only just started on the products. XD Liking it so far! XD There’s also an Anti Imperfection Concentrate not picture above. It’s the white tube with green cap. Meant for drying out blemishes, to be used overnight.
