First Beauty Collective Haul in 2013!

Hi all!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a beauty haul and it’s just awesome to be hauling beauty products. And so here’s my first beauty haul in 2013.

Etude house have loads of pretty glitter polishes now! These are $6.90 each!

I also got the nail polish set from the Etoinette collection. Look at the colors and that nail stickers! Too pretty to miss!! I’m going to wear this for CNY! This is $16.90.

Bought the Moisture Body Cream simply cause it smells really nice. It’s $22.90 for a 200ml tub. I also got the Silk Scarf hair mask to try after seeing Miyake raving about it on twitter. It’s $6.90 in the local Etude stores.

I‘ve also gotten the large 500ml bottle of the Wonder Pore Freshner at $32.90. Love this toner as I feel that it helps minimize the appearance of the pores plus refreshes the skin well. I’ve also gotten the emulsion from the skin mal:gem range to try as I’ve ran out of one to use for my day regime. It’s $25.90 for 200ml.

Saw that Canmake have 25% off at Watson’s the other say so I got their new foundation and primer to try. This is the natural range which does not includes any synthetic chemicals. It is also able to be removed with just water. The original price for the foundation and primer is $29.90 and $24.90 respectively.

Saw this set of 6 mini lip balms from Fresh going at 30% off which makes it $51, originally priced at $73. Lip balms are a staple in my regime and I always finish them real fast or lose them easily. The size of this lip balm is great to throw into the bag or purse!

I’m so glad that YSL have made its way back to SG shores. If not I will not have found out how awesome their range of lip sticks are. The two pictures are from their new Rouge Volupte Shine range. I’ve own two other from the Rouge Sheer Candy range and the Rouge Volupte Range. According to the BA, this new range is something in between the sheer candy and rouge volupte which provides a pigmented glossy color.

YSL priced their lipsticks at $45 each. I personally feel that it’s worth every single cent of it as it’s long lasting plus moisturizing. I love my sheer candy one so much that I’m contemplating to get a back up of the color I had. Now I’ve 4 lip sticks from YSL and trust me, this number will definitely increase over time.

And that’s all for my beauty haul post!

NOT!

It’s always great to share some beauty love with everyone so I’m giving out the SUGAR Lip Treatment from Fresh (the one on the extreme right in pic, dark brown packaging but it’s a clear balm) to one lucky reader!

To win, simply like my FB page if you have not and leave a comment below stating your FB name and why would you like to win the Lip Treatment.

The giveaway will end 1 Feb 2013 1800 HRS.

Update: Congrats Fenny for winning the Lip Treatment! *Winner is picked using a random name picker~ *

L’Oreal White Perfect Pearl Brush On Whitening Foundation

How do you usually apply your liquid foundation?

Fingers? Sponges? Brushes?

I believe many of you out there uses fingers to apply liquid foundation right? I do sometimes too as it’s the quickest and hassle free method.

Sponges is quite hassle free too, quick and you can just throw the sponge away after use. But sponges absorb way too much product sometimes and it’s a little wasteful.

Brushes gives the best finishes but it’s quite hassle to take out the brush to apply the foundation.

That is why we have foundation which comes with brushes! Just pump out the foundation and apply straight!

L’Oreal introduced their new White Perfect Pearl Brush On Whitening Foundation and I love it! I used their White Perfect Pearl foundation before and I really like it but seldom reach out for it as I’m lazy to use additional brush/sponge to apply. So this new foundation by L’Oreal is just perfect for me. I find myself reaching out for this more compared to my other foundations now.

Received the foundation in a nice blue box with mailer of the same color theme.

L’Oreal’s new foundation in a long tube form.

It has SPF 17 PA+++! Me love foundation with sun protection.

It’s available in 4 shades and I got mine in G2. The shade is just right for me, the L’Oreal people are awesome for getting my shade right from just my photos I presumed. :P

It also has skincare properties to help brighten up our skin!

The brush is so soft and smooth! I think I will still keep it and use even after I finish using the foundation.

Easy application. Just pump and then brush on. XD

I realized the time I took for my base is a lot shorter when using this foundation.

LOTD using the foundation.

I like how it brightens and even up my skin.

Coverage is good as it manages to cover up most of my imperfection.

I will give it a 4.5/5 rating!

The whole of White Perfect Pearl range.

The Brush On Whitening Foundation is retailing at $32.90. XD

ZA Skin Beauty Foundation Workshop

Attended the ZA Skin Beauty Foundation Workshop at the Shiseido Office last Thursday on Pearlin’s invitation.

Overall, I find the whole workshop very informative. They talked about the history of ZA foundation, how they evolved through the years. They also talked about the philosophy of makeup which I very much agree. They also talked about the importance of skincare and gone through with us the various step of skincare.

The main star of the workshop, is the new ZA Skin Beauty Foundation which includes additional good stuff compared to the current one in blue casing. The new foundation promised up to 8 hours of silky natural coverage.

The new additional good stuff includes:

- Poreless powder to smooth out the skin.

- Luminous powder which gives us the glow.

- Hyaluronic Acid which keeps our face moisturize.

It also includes:

- Vitamin E and minerals

- Spf 20 PA++

As we all know that the ZA foundation in blue casing is quite good, and now they have this Skin Beauty foundation with extra good stuff. Also, it promised natural finishing. We all know we want that! XD

The workshop takes place at their Beauty Studio.

Some other Onsugarettes were there too! Amy, Eka and Maya!

These are the tools provided for us to try on their products at a later part.

Skincare, e/s and blushes and of course, the star of the day, the new ZA Skin Beauty Foundation! XD

Maya on stage as the model of the day~XD

Oh, this thing is great!! The cleansemax which is a cleanser and double up as a makeup remover. Best thing is that it can be used without water!! I am  going to get this after I am done with my remover.

Testing out the products on our own~ XD

The ZA Cutie Curl Mascara, I really liked it after trying it out. They have both the long lash and volume one for us,  I liked the long lash one better. Will get this after I finished the one I have at home.

Everything all ZA on my face.

The foundation is really natural looking!

It goes on really smooth on the face like it’s gliding. No need to pat and pile on the powder.

With the ZA Trainer, Kate. (If i rmb-ed correctly.)

Everyone goes home with a hot pink pouch which includes the new ZA skin beauty foundation in their own shade. XD

Mine is in 21.

The Skin Beauty 2 Way Foundation will be available in all Watsons Store from 25 feb onwards! XD

This time, they are selling the refill and casing separately.

Refill: $20.50

Casing: $9.90

Review: Sasa HD Perfect Foundation

I have been requested to do a review on this sasa HD perfect foundation on my tagboard quite some time back.

Coverage: Medium

Glow: Nice dewy glow

Blendability: Very easy to blend with either your fingers or sponge

Price: $18.90 for 30 ml

Oil Control: Decent but needs to blot after 3-4 hours

Consistency: Abit liquidy/runny (Needs to shake real well b4 using)

I have used my maybelline primer pior to applying the founation and sephora mineral compact to set. When you just apply it, it might seem that it don’t really cover well(maybe because this is in my exact shade) but after setting with powder, it looks really great. It’s very lightweighted and feels like you did not apply anything on you face. However, i won’t recommend it to those who are looking for heavy coverage.

You can refer to my photoshoot photos to see how is it on my face as i use this foundation for the shoot.

Will i buy this again?

I will, but only use it when my face cleared up of the acne and spots.

Comparing this to the loreal one that i have mentioned in my foundation video, i personally like the loreal one better in terms of coverage.
