Haul: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

Read about this palette on UD’s FB page about a month ago and it was love at first sight!!

It’s their 15th Anniversary Palette which consists of 15 new shades! I own 2 of their palettes and love them to bits. So when I know of its existence, I tell myself that I must get it! And there I have it, my 3rd UD palette! XD

The box is placed in a luxurious velvet case and unlike previous palettes, it’s of a metal casing rather then a box casing. Very reflective, easy to leave fingerprints but super gorgeous!

Look at the details at the side of the box! XD Pretty right?

Ta-dah! Underneath the lid is a mirror which we can use. And there we have the lovely shadows! No swatches available as I can’t bear to touch it yet. :P

Lift up the lid to reveal a secret compartment when you can keep some stuff, be it accessories, notes or even cash for like the next palette! LOL. :P

Here’s a closer look at the colors! Gorgeous colors ain’t they? Comes in different texture and finishes! I love the center row cause I love colors! The row on the left are some lovely neutrals of daily usage! I especially love Vanilla and Flow, I can foreseen myself using those shades often. The row on the right is best suited for the smokey eyes! Together, there’s many combinations that one can create from this palette! Plus it’s only $80 for 15 colors. Do your maths, and I’m sure that you will know that it’s worth every cent! XD

The photo above is taken using the popart function on my camera. Just to give an idea on on the colors would be like if use with a good base. XD

This palette is available in all Sephora outlets and it’s only limited to 1 palette per person. So I would highly recommend you to get your hands on this now! If you have never own a UD shadow before, this would be a great palette to start! XD

Haul: Dollywink

I can’t resist getting these Dollywink products when I knew that they are out in the local watsons’ stores!

 

Got myself 5 items, the eyeshadows palettes in No.1, 3 and 4. Cream Eyeshadow in Crystal and the Volume Mascara. Wanted to get the Gold Cream Eyeshadow at first but it was OOS!! ><

 

 

Closer look at the palettes. The brown palette swatch very smoothly and the orange/blue one is quite a unique combination. The green/pink palette is too pretty to pass! Especially the fact that the pink swatch beautifully. The pigmentation of these palette are not bad with the brown palette with the best pigmentation. There’s No.2 which is the grey/pink palette which is quite disappointing as it’s really does not swatch well, pigmentation was quite bad. Which is too bad as the color combi is quite pretty.

 

 

Here’s the cream eyeshadow and mascara. Really love the packaging! So pretty! XD

Can’t bear to open them yet, will post swatches when I start using them! :P

NARS Eyeshadow Duo – Tzarine and Sea, Sex & Sun

Got 2 eyeshadow duos when Michelle had a NARS spree when they are having 18% sale. XD

 

My very first NARS eyeshadows. XD

Tzarine on the left, Sea,Sex & Sun on the right.

Tzarine, this is one of the fall colors. Bought this as I felt it would be perfect for a simple smoky eye.

Just a light swatch.

Sea, Sex & Sun. I was looking at the swatches on Temptalia and this caught my eye along with some others but I decided to get this.

Here’s the swatch. I like this duo a lot, perfect for the simple day look!

I actually wore all 4 colors to my friend’s birthday party and they worked great with each other!

Too bad I did not have a proper photo of my eye MU that day. EOTD next time maybe. :P

If you notice from the swatches, the 2nd and 3rd color from the left on the top row swatch similar to the ones below them.

 

These are the 3rds from the left.

As you can see, the one on top is darker and has a red tinge to it while the one below is more brown.

 

These are the 2nds from the left.

The top one is a cranberry like color with more red in it while the bottom one is more bronzed.

 

I haven actually use this palette yet, but I am very excited about it while swatching it just now. All swatches above are just 1 swipe of the finger. Pigmentation is absolutely great! They feel very fine, smooth and soft too! The shimmers are very fine except for the gold color(4th from the left, bottom row) which shimmers are a little to the chunky side.

Silky Girl Blockbuster Eyeshadow Quads Review

Bought the new silky girl eyeshadow quad a few days back. 

Been looking forward to it ever since i saw the ad in CLEO mag. 

I only got 1 palette in Violet Crush as i did not try silky girl’s eyeshadow b4 and hence not sure abt the pigmentation and all. 

But i love this palette!!! It’s very pigmented and it actually last long. I have no complains. I only used lemon chiffon as a base and it did not crease like the other time when i use MM shadows. But it did fade a little bit, i think. But 7-8hrs of wear is decent enough. 

If you really want me to point out a bad thing, i think i don’t really like the applicator which comes with it. It’s decent enough but i felt that it’s abit too small and it’s quite hard to blend the colors with it. 

And of course, the price is so cheap!! $11.90 which is the promotion price, and $13.90 original price. 

I think i will be going back to get the green palette soon. 

Well, maybe not so soon since i splurge today. XP

I will suggest you girls to go get this palette fast before it goes back to the original price. XD
