Review: Skin 79 Vital Orange BB Cream

I’ve received the latest addition to the Skin79 BB Cream family from the kind people from StarAsia.

It’s the new Vital Orange BB Cream with the highest spf of SPF 50 PA+++, providing you with the highest level of protection from the harmful UV rays.

Here’s a swatch of the BB cream. Color is unlike the VIP Gold one which is more to the greyish side. The Vital Orange BB cream is more yellow toned which is perfect for us with the yellow under tones.

Here’s a half face photo with the bb cream applied to the left side of the face. I feel that it evens out redness quite well and coverage is quite good.

Here’s after setting with powder. Looks pretty good no?

Here’s my ratings on the Vital Orange BB cream:

Coverage: 4/5

Blendability: 3.5/5

Oil control: 3/5

Color: 4/5

Staying power: 3.5/5

Overall: 3.75/5

I would recommend this BB cream to those who needs coverage and those with normal or more towards dry skin. For oily combi skin like me will just have to blot more often as the oil control for this BB cream is pretty average. But I would say this BB cream is a win in terms of coverage and color.

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks,

XOXO

Skin 79 Lovely Girl BB Cream

New Release from Skin 79!

Lovely Girl BB Cream!

Received the Lovely Girl BB Cream in a lovely colorful box. XD

In it includes the new Lovely Girl BB cream plus a shimmer puff in a lovely sweet packaging.

Loving the retro pink packaging.

Star of the post: Lovely Girl BB Cream.

In it’s simple sweet pink packaging.

Description list of the BB cream.

It aims to provide moisture to the skin, soothes redness and irritation. Good for sensitive skin.

Color of the BB Cream is slightly to the grey side.

Texture of the BB cream is actually creamy yet light.

It evens out skin tone and brightens up the skin.

This is only spread out, not blended into the skin properly yet.

Coverage: I would say coverage is light to medium. It does even out the skin tone but flaws are not fully covered.

Staying Power: Staying power for this BB cream is relatively good. I would say it last for a good 6 to 7 hours.

Oil Control: Thumbs up for this BB cream on oil control part. My face stays matte throughout the day with only minimum shine near the end of the day.

Overall Rating: I would rate this BB cream a 3.5 out of 5. It’s worth a 4 but I am not really a fan of the scent of this BB cream though. It has a slight plastic smell to it. I won’t recommend this to someone who needs coverage but would definitely recommend this to someone who needs oil control. It is definitely suitable for sensitive skin. XD

Exclusively available at Watsons @ $21.90.

Bio-Essence Superstar Bloggers Party

Was one of the lucky bloggers who was invited to the Bio Essence Superstar Bloggers Party! XD

Of course, the start of the event is the 3 BB creams that Bio-Essence have under their line.

We went through details of the BB Creams during a short presentation and was very excited as we are going to be decorating our BB cream at the later part of the event! XD It’s like zhng-ing your gadgets, but this time round we are zhng-ing our favourite BB creams from Bio-essence. Also the lovely team from Bio-essence provided us with a huge range of materials to decorate our BB creams!

What’s an event without yummy food? And while we’re eating, we get to watch and learn from a facial demonstration by a lovely lady from Bio-essence.

That’s Jacqueline who’s the model for the facial demonstration.

We all had this Deep Exfoliating Gel on our tables for us to try. It removes dead skin and helps promotes absorptions of skincare products. It also left the skin feeling soft and smooth after application.

We each received a trial pack with the exfoliating gel included.

The other 2 products given are the Radiant Youth Essence and the Face Lifting Cream.

All these products comes with ATP which provides energy and help recharge skin cells.

The face lifting cream helps to create the V-shaped face that all women wanted~ XD

Moving on, it’s time for deco! Here’s us choosing our materials to zhng our BB creams~ XD

I choose to decorate the Platinum BB cream as it’s my favorite out of the 3, as it has whitening properties and it fits my skin tone better. XD

Here’s the front of my completed BB cream. XD

You can see that I used a lot of ribbons, a little blings and lace plus some flowers to spice things up. xD

This is the back~ I just randomly paste the blue lace ribbon, cause the ladies from Bio-essence was suggesting we could do something like that which is like the Victoria Scerets’ angels. LOL. :P

How can I not post with my masterpiece~ I am quite happy with the end results~ :P

I normally fail at deco-ing cupcakes~ Glad to know that I fare better at deco-ing BB Creams~ LOL~ XD

A photo with the lovely Bride to be, Clara a.k.a Dblchin.

That’s my ‘Ribbons’ BB cream in a studio shot~ Hee~

Quite proud of myself for this lei. :P

You can also decorate your own BB cream by participating in the Superstar Readers Challenge: “Personalized Your BB Cream” where you stand to win some great prizes! Details in the banner below! XD

Below is a group photo of all the BB Creams that all the bloggers present at the event have decorated~

Hopefully you’re able to find some inspirations for yours!

Remember to keep things simple or have a theme in mind when you decorate yours, less is more! XD

And here’s a piece of information to share with you all. Do you know that Bio-essence is the No.1 Facial Care Brand in Singapore and Best Asian Brand 2009 & 2010? Let’s applaud them! XD

One last thing, Bio-essence will be having a Chinese New Year in-store roadshow held at BHG Bugis from the 14th to the 21st January 2011! Review: Bio-Essence Bio-Platinum Plus Multi Effects BB Cream

The Bio-Platinum Plus Multi Effects BB cream has whitening properties and has 10 benefits in one products as compared to the 8 benefits that the Multi Effect BB cream has.

This BB cream has the ingredient Platinum which boosts the skin’s ability to protect itself against free radicals. It also contains tanaka extract to help with the whitening.

It has a different nozzle as compared to the Multi Effect one.

The tone of this is much lighter then the Multi Effect one and I prefer this as it suits my skin tone more. The texture is also a tad runny but this don’t really bother me.

Before and after. Coverage is medium to high.

After setting with powder.

I feel that the oil control for this is better, lasted me around 4 to 5 hours.

Using a BB Cream is also a lot more convenient. It’s like a sun block, moisturizer and base all in one. You can just apply and off you go. But I still do apply my usual moisturizer la. :P

Personally I prefer this more to the Multi Effects one as not only the tone suits me more, the oil control is also better. XD

Here’s the TVC for the Bio Essence BB Creams.

The Sample Store is giving you the chance to try the BB creams out too! Redeem your samples now! XD

Now you can receive a free Bio-Essence product if you managed to refer 20 ppl too! XD

Review: Bio-Essence Bio – Multi Effect BB Cream

Received 3 different Bio-essence BB Creams from The Sample Store.

They come in a pretty mesh bag~ XD And the packaging is very reflective, notice the rainbow? :P

Here’s some info on the BBcreams before I go into the review.

From L to R,

Aqua BB Cream for moisturising, Bio Multi Effects BB Cream for coverage and Bio-Platinum BB Cream plus Multi Effects for whitening.

Both the Aqua and Multi Effect retails at $28 while the Bio-Platinum retails at $32.

Ok, now on to the review of the Bio Multi Effect BB Cream.

Promise long lasting coverage and flawless finish.

The texture is a little runny.

Having fun testing it out on the orange sent along with the BB Creams before actually using it. :P

It does fill in the pits of the orange quite well.

I am WOW by the coverage! It really is like what it promised! The coverage is really awesome!

It managed to cover up most of my redness and blemishes! Means I don’t have to use concealer when I use this BB Cream.

Before any setting powder. I really like the coverage!

Do remember to apply in patting motion like they recommend so that the BB cream covers better.

One thing I don’t really like is the runny texture but it’s don’t really bother me la. Also, I realized that the tone of this BB Cream is a tad dark(yellow) for me, but I solve it by using a lighter powder.

Here’s another pic of me wearing the BB Cream, this is after setting powder. No need for concealer~ XD

Do take note that the oil control of this BB Cream is not as good as it’s coverage. The oil control is pretty decent, lasted 3 hours plus before I have to blot. But if you don’t really have super oily skin like mine, I think it’s fine.

Wait for my review of the Bio-Platinum BB Cream Plus Multi Effects next! XD
