I’ve received three items from the range for review, an eyeliner, mascara and the cream eyeshadow base.

20130309-192207.jpg
Available in two shades, Metallic Pearl and Silvery Grey. The former suitable for day looks and the latter will be great for smokey eyes. I’ve received the former. This is priced at $19.90.

It’s a very light creamy texture and goes on the skin smoothly. I think this can be used either as a base or on its own as a highlighter shade.

20130309-192555.jpg
I’ve received the Fantastic eyeliner in Secrete Khaki, a deep olive green which is a good substitute for the usual black and brown.

20130309-192734.jpg
There’s a total of 5 shades and is priced at $14.90.

I’ve also received the Hedwig Lash mascara for length. I like this kind of brush comb as it minimized clumps. This is priced at $19.90.

Kick It Side is available exclusively at Watsons.

Affordable and trendy make up from Korea, Kick It Side is worth checking out.

Swatch: HyperCosmos Eyeshadow Duo from Maybelline

New in by Maybelline, we have the HyperCosmos Baked Eyeshadow duo available in 7 gorgeous choices. The duos comes in two complimentary colors so you do not have to think too much about matching the colors! Well other than matching it to the color of your clothes. XD

First up, we have blues and the green. From left to right, we have BU-1,  LG-1 and CH-1.

I’m pretty sure that you have noticed that one side is of a solid color and the other, a lovely blend/swirl of pigments.

Here’s the swatches. Pigmentation of these colors are ok, not too bad. I believe the colors would be more intense if applied wet. My favorite out of the 3, will definitely be LG-1 in the center. I’m loving the combination of the blue and that shimmery green,

Now here we have 2 of the most earthly tones out of the 7. WN-1 on the left and CP-1 on the right. Neutrals are the best colors that all skin tones can bring off.

And the pigmentation of these 2 are definitely better than the blue and greens somehow. I would say WN-1 the one on top is a lovely combination but I love the browns of CP-1 as they are really nice and soft.

The last 2 we have are the pinks and peach. LV-1 on the left and PC-1 on the right. These are for those who prefer light shades on their lids.

Pigmentation wise is as good as the earth colors. Very smooth and buttery texture. I would say these 2 are my top favorites out of the 7 colors! LV-1 on top and PC-1 on the bottom.

I would recommend the earthly and the pinkish ones for this range. Simply because I find that the blue and greens lack in pigmentation and is slightly too shimmery for my liking. I love my greens and blues but the ones here kind of disappoint me. Luckily, the other 4 make it up for the range. I really like PC-1, it’s great for everyday use!

If I were to rate it, a 2.5/5 for the blues and greens and a 3.5/5 for the other 4 colors.

These HyperCosmos Eyeshadow Duos are priced at $17.90 each and can be found in major departmental stores, Watsons and Guardian etc.

Swatches: Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Liners

Just doing a mini review of the Clio Gelpresso Liners that I’ve. Two were sent to me by Clio and I’ve gotten the beige one from a Bellabox event.

Gel Liners in pencil form. I love pencil liners, it’s so much easier to control when drawing the the eyes. Mistakes can also be easily rectify as compared to liquid liners.

These Gel Liners are formulated in Italy. I’ve noticed that a lot of liners out there are formulated in Italy too. I’ve here 3 colors, silver, purple and beige. Colored liners give a pop to the eyes as compared to the usual black and brown.

Comes with a sharpener which is really handy when your pencil goes blunt and you really need a define line.

I love how these liners are retractable, giving you control.

Swatches! These are really pigmented and the pencils are really soft. Colors glide on very smoothly.

I rate these liners a 4/5!

Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Liners can be found at Watsons’ stores and they are priced at $18.90.

Ms Candy By L’Oreal: Swatches

I’m sure most of you have seen the limited edition candy shades Infallible Shadows and Glam Shine Gloss at the stores!

I’ve received 3 items from this limited collection from L’Oreal. Two infallible shadows in Naughty Strawberry and Sassy Marshmallow, a glam shine in Miss Raspberry.

Swatches of the shadows! Very pretty colors! XD Highly pigmented and very smooth too!

Noticed the yellow specks in the pink shadow? The shadows in this collection have a mixture of two or three colors so that it’s more dimensional when applied.

Look at the lovely swirl of colors in the Glam Shine gloss!

The texture is quite sticky when I swatch it, almost like caramel. But when I applied to my lips, not sticky at all!

Here’s a look that I’ve created using the 3 items features. I also use an Infallible shadow in beige as highlights for the brow bone. It’s a very simple look, the pink on the lid, and the sliver on the crease and back half of the lash line and blended together.

How do you like this look? It’s a simple look that still has that pop of color! XD

The Glam Shine are priced at $15.90 and Infallible shadows are at $14.90. In my opinion, go grab the shadows! The pink is beautiful and very wearable!

Mini Haul: Inglot

So I was in JB last Saturday and there was an Inglot store at City Square Mall. How could I resist the temptation and not went in? It’s just normal that I went in and bought something! Though I wished I’ve exchange more RM so I could buy more than 1 item. My money was almost spent by the time I get to shop at Inglot! ><

So the only item I got was an eyeshadow pan from their freedom system. You could actually make your own palette by selecting a few pans and get their palette. Palettes and pans are all magnetic. They are all reasonably priced. A palette for 2 pans is only RM 16 and each single pan is RM30. They have pans of trios at RM36.

So the color I got was an pearly light green. I actually love my eyeshadows in such color tones! But I haven been wearing colors on my lids except for neutrals and grey recently. >~<

They don’t have a name for the color but it’s a pear and coded 412. Each pan is 2.7g and made in Poland.

A better look of the color in the pan.

A close up swatch.

Another swatch another room light. This is only one light swipe. The texture of the shadow is very buttery and smooth. Pigmentation is good too. Priced at RM30 for a pan which is roughly around $12.50, I would say it’s worth the money.

Reason why I did not get their palettes? Simply because I’ve several magnetic palettes at home and they are like half empty except for the one pictured! I believe I will get more of these Inglot eyeshadow pans to fill up my other palettes! :P

MakeUp Collection: SLEEK MakeUP

So I’m going to be featuring my makeup collection in terms of brands and categories. I will be also doing an overview of the brand itself for those that I’ve categorized by brands.

And first up will be featuring my mini Sleek MakeUP collection which consists of 3 eyeshadow palettes and 2 powder blushes.

Featured Products:

  • Sunset Palette (Check out the swatches here)
  • Curacao Palette L.E (Palette on the left in the last photo)
  • Aruba Blush (Orange)
  • Mediterranean Palette L.E (Palette on the right in the last photo)
  • Santorini Blush (Hot Pink)

Swatches of the 2 palettes can be easily found on the net, let me know if you want me to do the swatches. :P

Sleek MakeUP have quite a wide variety of eyeshadow palettes and I would say most of them are really pigmented. At least for the 3 that I’ve owned. The palettes are compact and easy to bring around. I don’t recommend you to bring along these palettes for travel as they are quite fragile. (Unless you hand carry them.)

Each palette comes with 10 colors in different textures. Most of the palettes comes with a matte black shade. Meaning if you have 5 palettes, maybe you will the same matte black in all of them. I’ve 3 of the palettes and 2 of them came with the matte black shade. This can be a good or bad thing. What do we do with so many of the same black color? We can always use one wet and the other dry. Black shadow can always doubled up as an eyeliner too.

Sleek Blushes are awesome. Pigmented and great color payoff. Just one swipe of the brush and it’s enough. Don’t be scared of by the vibrancy of the blushes, they are one of the more natural blushes that I’ve owned. If you’re fair like me, you just have to brush on the blush lightly. If you’re of a darker skin tone, you just have to use a little bit more product. I rate a 5 star for the pigmentation of Sleek blushes. Also, the color lasted for a good 5 – 6 hours on oily skin like mine.

The price for Sleek MakeUP is very affordable too! The palettes are priced at $10USD and blushes at $7.80USD. So it’s roughly around $15/16 for the palettes and $10/11 for the blushes depending on where you spree them from and the exchange rate.

Alright on to the photos!

XOXO,
