CandyPlay: Poppin Cookin Waffles

20130502-215351.jpg

CandyPlay sent me two Kracie Poppin Cokkin sets sometime back and I finally have time to get down to making it!

20130502-215357.jpg

I’ve chosen the latest Waffles Cafe set and the Decoration cake set.

20130502-215404.jpg

Will only be showing the Waffles set today. I want to do a video for the decoration set. :P

The pack consists of a tray where you have to cut out the parts to use. 4 packets of sugar powder I think and a spatula for mixing.

20130502-215430.jpg

Making of the waffles~ It’s cool that the mixture actually smells like waffles. And it’s like play dough, if you don’t like the shape of the waffle you get, simply roll it up into a ball again and try it again till you get the desired shape and thickness you like.

20130502-215451.jpg

Next is the dressings! Strawberry sauce, which I assumed it is as it smells like it, whipped cream and blue berries. The blue berries is a little tricky to make and you kind of have to wait for it to settle down before removing it out from the mould. After getting these done, you can start to decorate the waffles, in anyway you want it!

20130502-215517.jpg

I made the whipped cream looks like ice cream for one and just spread the sauce over the other. Both topped with a blue berry. Not bad right. Haha.

Follow the visual on the packaging for this one. Looks pretty good no? Felt like eating waffles already?

I think these are really fun to make and I spent about 20 mins to make the waffles. But it’s definitely too sweet for me to really eat it. I had one bite and that’s it.

Can’t wait to try the cake one as I’ve to actually bake it in the oven. Maybe that will taste better. XD

Want to get your hands on some Poppin Cookin sets? CandyPlay is the place to go!

Check out their FB Page for more information on where to find! It’s only $9.50 for the waffle set if you buy from their site!

Movie Review: Bachelorette

20121221-023054.jpg

I’ve got tickets to watch the Bacherlorette movie thanks to Carlo Rino Sg! Brought along Don to watch it~

Review:

The movie pretty much reminds me of the hangover series, female version. A lot more watered down and a lot more bitchy. Humor level is definitely there as I do have a good laugh. It’s rated M18 more because of the language and usage of wheat in the show.

It’s worth a watch if you’re looking at a light hearted film that you can laugh along. Some might be able to relate to the movie, character wise.

My favorite quote from the show had to be “Fuck Everybody!” Which has the meaning of not bothering what others thinks.

Ratings would be a 3/5 from me. Not a must watch, but if you have the time and needs a movie to watch, consider this.

GV Multiplex @ City Square Mall

Golden Village recently opened its 11th cinema at City Square Mall. First started in 1992 with its very first cinema, the Yishun 10 Multiplex which I watch my first movie at, Golden Village is one of biggest cinema operator in Singapore.

I was glad to be able to experience the new cinema during the day of its official launch, watching the latest hit, Breaking Dawn Part Two in one of the theaters. Thanks OMY.SG!!
I’m not going to review the movie but I would say I really like this last installment of the whole Twilight Saga. It’s worth to watch in the theaters and definitely a good ending to the whole saga.

One special thing about this multiplex in City Square Mall is that it’s a “Couple Cinema”.

Unlike certain cinemas where’s there specific and limited couple seating, the “Couple Cinema” layout is in such a way that you simply have to pull up the arm rest to get your couple seats!

Pretty cool I say!

Next time, you don’t have to buy couple seats if you want to go on a date, just head to GV at City Square mall!

I find that the seats of the new cinema are thicker and definitely more comfortable! I was able to rest my head comfortably on the seats without having to sit further out.

I like how they have bins near the exit so we could dispose of our trash easily! This way we could all do a part in helping to keep the cinema clean and making it a better experience for ourselves!

Thinking to catch a movie soon? Catch it at GV @ City Square Mall!

Check out GV’s FB for latest information and promos!

Sentosa Spooktacular 2012: Get spooked at Fort Siloso

It’s the Halloween season again and it’s time for Sentosa Spooktacular once more! I’ve always been wanting to visit Sentosa for Spooktacular and I’ve finally got the chance! Thanks OMY.SG!
Though, I did not know for sure whether it’s good or not. Haha. I’m those 怕死还要玩 type of person. I am very sure I would be scared till death at the event but I still die die want to go. But hey, I’m survived it, which is why I’m here typing this post. :P

Brought along Weijie, my dear Sista to be my Human Shield. Good choice cause he 不怕死, bad choice as he like to chiong. Lol.

Take heed of the warning. Lucky for us, the 11 of us that stick together all made it back alive. :P

The poor dude died there waiting. Look at how YingZi is laughing happily but not for long.

Trying to act like I’m scared while making my way to take the Ghost Rider to Fort Siloso. I did not have to act, cause I was pretty much screaming away the moment I stepped into Fort Siloso. Haha.

After reaching taking the train to Beach Station, there’s the Ghost Rider waiting to pick up and and bring us to Fort Siloso. But beware, there might be something else catching the bus with you too…

This year at Spooktacular, prepare yourselves to brave through 5 Horror Trails at Fort SIloso. They are Ouija Board (碟仙), Camp Berhantu (冤鬼聚集营), Deadly Doll Studio (死亡娃娃工作室), The Land of Lost Souls (幽魂地带) and The Last Sequel (最后续集). If you do not have the guts, you can choose to skip the trails and just roam around Fort Siloso, though I do not think that it’s safer.

Do you know that Fort Siloso have never been opened to the public at night before? It have closed at 6 pm and for the first time, it’s going to be open at night to you. How’s Fort Siloso at night? I’ve bet you never seen it before right? I’ve heard and met some 200 ‘residents’ that roam around Fort Siloso at night. They are pretty friendly and would love to meet you all.

The long road up to the trails at Fort Siloso is not a quiet and peaceful walk at all. There’s many friendly residents there, too friendly I would say.

Here’s me, WeiJie and Ying Zi~ Taken after meeting some of the residents, before the trails.

Some of the tombs around. I’m pretty sure I met some of the owners. Hmmm…..

I found this beside a stall selling drinks… So I’m not sure what happened to it? Maybe one of the ingredients of the drinks? Anyways, drink at your own safety.

Do you remember YingZi smiling happily earlier? She met someone who seems to love her that she was being followed everywhere. And getting screamed on for several times too.

三缺一, want to join them for Mahjong?

Welcome to Sawadee Airlines…
Taken at The Land of Lost Souls, one of the horror trails and one of the good ones I must say.

I actually never did read this poster at the trail but I was telling myself I need to take some photos while hiding my face behind Weijie’s back. I gave up taking photos at the trails, trying to prevent myself from getting a heart attack. But now that I’ve read this poster, I fully understand the encounter right after. It’s one humor part out of the horror.

After surviving all 5 trails, we slowly made our way back out of Fort Siloso, taking the same long route. This time, I’ve already been scared until sian already. So can happily go take photos with the friendly residents. That was a smile which I forced, I’m actually thinking there better not be anything coming from the back.

This guy! He managed to scare the hell out of me when I first make my way up to the Fort. That’s why I die die must take a photo with him before I leave the place. I think he scared me at least 3 times. Damn.

That’s Weijie acting shocked when he’ve been laughing throughout the whole night!

Eh? Long lost brothers?

Something coming out from the smoke. And she does not belong to Fort Siloso, she lives at Bedok Reservoir…..

A group photo with some of the more friendly residents. Haha, look at Smith~

Sentosa Spooktacular was pretty awesome. Come play if you dare. I survived it, can you?

Fort Siloso will be open on the 19,20, 26 to 28 nights for you all, to visit. Over 200 friendly residents are waiting for you there, some might like you too much that they don’t want you to leave… Visit at your own risk. You don’t want to be stranded at the Land of Lost Souls nor become a doll. Or do you?

Standard tickets are at $48, Islander card holders are entitled to 15% off! I would highly recommend you to get the fast pass to speed up your death. Ops, I mean make your experience more enjoyable. I mean you don’t want to be queuing for like 1 whole hour to meet your doom right? :P

More information can be found at http://www.spooktacular.com.sg/index.aspx .

Do say hi to that yellow face dude in tiger prints who scared me for like 3 times ok? But to be honest, he’s nothing compared to those at the trails. But if you’re lucky, you might catch some of the residents dancing to the most hit song recently. Did I mention Oppa, Zombie style? Or was it Jiang Shi style? Hmmm, I’m pretty sure I met a Jiang Shi when I came out of the Doll Studio in one piece.

Get Spooked at Sentosa Spookacular~ I’ve survived it, can you? Or will you?

Spice Brasserie @ Park Royal Hotel

Went for a food tasting sessions over at Spice Brasserie @Park Royal hotel with fellow Nuffnang bloggers!
We went for their Tuesday special Thai buffet! It’s available for both lunch and dinner on Tuesday only! The promotion is till end of May and they will then change their menu to something different!
For the current promotion, they are having Thai buffet on Tuesdays, Japanese buffet on Thursdays, Barbecue buffet on Friday’s dinner, Saturdays and Sunday’s lunch. Other days is standard international buffet. XD

Going to start bombing you guys with food photos. I won’t be stating the name of the dishes as you might not find the same dish as they changes their food menu regularly so that customers will not be eating the same food over and over again!

Even though it’s Thai buffet, there are quite a variety of international food items available too! There’s a whole side dedicated to the Thai food while the other side is the international food items. Same for the desserts! XD
This is a very good mixture, as customers get to try different food items in one buffet! XD

I must say the Thai food is really nice. The taste for some are very unique and I love the spiciness of some of the food items. The green curry that they served is really fragrant and yummy! It’s really worth the try if you want to try Thai food. For a reasonable price, you can to try out a wide variety of Thai food! And Thai desserts too!

Chef Jeeranan, she’s the chef that’s in charge of the Thai food and all the Thai food are done by her! I must say I really do like her cooking!

She was actually telling us about the flower shaped dumpling which we all are interested in as it’s really pretty and taste good! The filling is savory while the skin has a sweet after taste. Oh and it’s really chewy, like eating a mochi!

I’m satisfied with all the yummy food. I must say that the food that Spice Brasserie offers is really value for money!
