Shine Youth Fest: Project CurL

Project CurL : iDance.uMove.WE GROOVE is an initiative by NTU Welfare Society Club to challenge those that are intellectually disabled (the beneficiaries) to learn and perform a dance within the time of the event.

Note: The beneficiaries are not featured in the video to protect their identities.

Student volunteers from various secondary schools and JCs were partnered with the beneficiaries to help them learn the dance routine. This is also to encourage the spirit of volunteerism among the youths.

Dance is the theme of this year’s event to help promote a active lifestyle among people from all walks of life. Hence the performance by various groups of people. From kids, to youth and even the elderly.

I personally felt that it’s a really meaningful event held by the students from WSC. Seeing the smiles on the beneficiaries warms my heart. Also, this is the tenth year anniversary of Proj. CurL. Hopefully this project will have another 10 years ahead! XD
