Officially 22, though I wished to be forever 21!
Happy Birthday to myself! Lol!
Today I will be talking about my Dolly Wink collection. Most of you would have known that Dolly Wink is famous for its eyelashes and is endorsed and produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka. I owned quite a number of its eyelashes but I still can’t bear to use them yet.
Dolly Wink cosmetics comes in really pretty packaging! It’s all sweet and girly and hence I can’t bear to use them. Of course, no worries about pretty packaging yet substandard products. Dolly Wink eyelashes have gotten many good reviews. The only downside would be the high price tag. Dolly Wink eyelashes are price at $24.90 for 2 pairs of lashes making it around $12 for a pair. But of course, you pay for what you get, quality is definitely there for these lashes.
I also owned the liquid and pencil liners in their limited edition packaging and also the volume mascara. All which I’ve not opened and used yet. But these items have gotten good reviews too, especially for the mascara. I’ve fellow beauty bloggers buying extras of the mascaras.
The only Dolly Wink products that I’ve actually used are the eyeshadow palettes and the cream eyeshadows. Retailing at $32.90 each, the palettes are quite worth it for it’s pigmentation. There’re actually 4 palettes available but I got 3 only as I find that the palette is #2 lacks in pigmentation unlike the other 3. My favorite palette would be the neutral brown palette in #1. Texture of the eyeshaows are smooth and buttery. The cream eyeshadows are smooth but a little greasy. What I like about them is the glitter which is just right and not gritty.
For the eyeshadows, they come with this little booklet that has a step by step how to use the particular product as recommended by Tsubasa herself.
Recently Dolly Wink have also came out with a new series of eyelashes, the Otona series and also new eyebrow products from eyebrow mascara, pencils to powders. I’m actually eyeing at the eyebrow mascara. The Otona series are actually a range of lashes that are more natural compared to the original series. Personally I like more dramatic lashes, if I want natural lashes I will opt for mascara instead.
Dolly Wink are available locally at most Watsons stores. Prices ranges from $16.90 to $32.90. If you want to get them at a cheaper price and don’t mind a longer waiting time. You can purchase them at Sasa.com or JPmon.com.

As the title says, today I’m gonna write about embracing our scars. Or rather acne scars.
After combating acne, we are always happy to see the swell go down, no more pus, no more swollen zits. But now, we are faced with something more stubborn. The red marks left from the acne. And now it’s the battle with the scars. Piling up concealer to cover up, or using products trying to get rid of them. But beware, some of these products actually thinned the skin rather then removing the marks.
What should we do about the scars then?
Embrace them, better scars than acne. Scars takes time to heal and slowly they will fade away as new skin cells grow and we remove the dead skin cells properly. We should not let the scars affect our confidence no matter how irritating they are. I’m more than happy to see the scar there as compared to a bursting zit.
Acne scars are also the evidence that we got rid of those troublesome acne. No need to fret over the swells, thinking of what to use so that they will go off. No need to worry about the zits bursting when you’re out. Scars just stay there doing nothing till it’s time for them to go.
Here’s some tips to say goodbye to the scars/redness asap.
- Exfoliation at least once a week. (For proper removal of dead skin cells)
- Using sunblock at all time. (Do you know that even the light rays emitted from our laptops are harmful?)
- Having ample sleep. (Tried and tested. I observed that redness goes down when I have a good sleep and it gets worse if I did not have enough rest.)
- Embrace your scars. (Don’t let the scars stress you out! Stress is one of the main reasons for skin problems!)

So it have finally ended. The final event held just outside Cineleisure on the 21st has marked the end of the 1 and a half month long competition. Finally can rest liao.
It was definitely a fun experience and I believed each and everyone have gained something from this competition.
I definitely enjoyed myself at the finals, though Andy and me wasn’t really prepared for the 3 minutes performance on stage. LOL! But I did enjoyed the performance put on by other contestants! I’m stuck to the tune of Roly Poly now which Sphinxxx performed a dance to! I support fellow Andersonians.
And of course, congrats to the winners! KOAS, Ruth and Taffi! Great job!
Did anyone capture Shutter’s walk? I hope not! LOL!
