what i remember about shaw tower is that
i used to catch some movie block busters like 10 years ago here
the movie previews in the very big theatre
other than that i seldom come here because of its location
(beach road is somewhere between suntec and bugis)

shaw is a name i supposed everyone in singapore would know
but how many would know the story behind shaw?
the shaw brothers started the shaw foundation
cos they believe that they shld give back to the society for what they have obtained from the society
and shaw foundation is one of the largest philanthropic organisations in the world

upon completion of prince and jade cineplexes at shaw tower
the team were the first to introduce the concept of cineplexes into Singapore
which has become a standard today

now, block buster movies are no longer showing at shaw tower
the retail wing -
‘Shaw Leisure Gallery or SLG’ is its name now
it is a budding place for entrepreneurs with new products and concepts
as well as a destination shopping place for niche and unique products and services
shoppers can expect a personalized shopping experience here

ok so why did we come all the way here?

because thru research we know that there is this very very good and cheap thai restaurant!

argh the queue is sooooooo long
and we were informed that they were taking last order in an hours time =(
we gave up and decided to change for sth else
and we chanced upon this on second level~

hmm turkish cuisine
seems pretty nice and we decided to give it a try~

very comfortable and spacious environment inside

happy us~
waiting for our food hehe~

the service here was very very good
and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive
they were always around when you needed them
and most importantly
the food was served very fast!

my appetiser mushroom soup

no, it wasnt like what you expected
it was mushroom soup with a turkish twist
i also dunno how to describe
it was a blend of mushroom and kebab yeah thats right!
and i love the bread~

this is another appetiser i ordered
egg plant salad and it turns out to be my favourite favourite!
(i finished the whole thing myself since xp doesnt eat vege -_-)
and being an egg plant lover myself
i really really love this!

chicken baked rice for him

to me it was a bit salty
but he likes it =)

this is for me - the chef’s platter
all the meat are very well marinated
salty if you just eat the meat alone
but fantastic and goes perfectly with the bread
(yeah i really love their bread - crispy outside and soft inside. makes me hungry now bloggin abt it )=

after dinner we decided to sit a chill for a while
as this is a really nice environment
too bad all the window seats were taken
i would wanna sit by the windows and watch the night scenery while i dine the next time!

we ordered this sofra special mocktail

looks just like any other normal drink right?
later i will show u that it is NOT
we happily camwhoring the whole way =P

and this is what i wanted to show u~

there is this bandung like jelly in the drink
(the holes were poked by me using the straw oops)
and my favourite were the nuts and raisins inside the drink!
no it didnt taste weird
the blend was perfect
i dunno how they did it
i could nv imagine putting jelly and nuts and raisins inside a drink!
but it was so nice~

very satisfied xp =)
