happy cny to all!
hehe back from home and its my first day at work today!
haven got my laptop (yes yes the company providing!)
so using my colleague’s comp to blog =P

anw some updates on my cny trip back home

on new year’s eve
my bro daringly asked me to cut hair for him
so….and then my sister joined in too..
looks like fun ar?
the other bro joined in as well..
hee dun worry its not too bad at all! =P

reunion dinner~

cny is coming~
being overseas alone
i most look forward to the reunion dinner every year
which means family gathering
which means lovely home-cooked good food =)

however i read from here recently
that many ppl no longer have their reunion dinner at home
even more ridiculous to me
(maybe i am ’swagu’)
some ppl are willing to spend almost S$7k for eating out
S$7k for a table of 10
the figure shocked me
it seems like the economic downturn doesnt affect the businesses of these restaurants
to accommodate the high demand
many restaurants have to divide their dining session into 2 on the eve of cny
some restaurants were already being fully booked at as early as october last year

this year, my dad suggested eating out as well
which i strongly against it
to me, reunion dinner must be held at home
it doesnt matter not to have abalone or sharks’ fin
it matters to me that the family is reunited at home
to enjoy the homely feeling together ^_^

these were what i had for my reunion dinner last yeara good spread of simple home-cooked dishes
chit-chats and jokes over the dining table
a warm feeling to welcome a new year

i look forward to my reunion dinner this year =)
i hope you too~

he came to join us for reunion dinner every year!

busy busy eve of CNY and eve of the eve of CNY
haha!
busy but fun and fulfilling!
so busy until i didnt have much time to take pictures!

helped out at my aunt’s shop yesterday
the night before i slpt at 6am
but was woken up by my dad at 9plus am to help out lo!!
stood all the way till 8plus pm cos the queue nv stopped!!
it was fun dealing with all the customers hee
and counting money
too bad the money wasnt mine
the revenue was at least ten thousands jus yesterday alone i think
but it all aint mine!
alright i had fun haha
the only bad was tt my knee and ankles couldnt stand the long hours standing
was limping when i was back home =(
but i am ok after a night’s rest!
hehe
helped out with spring cleaning
vacuumed and mopped the floor plus clean the toilets!!
3 toilets altogether
i cant remember when was the last time i helped out
but this year i shall be a good girl =D
and it felt good to help out hehe
as for the reunion dinner
as usual my dad’s indian friends’ families came down
as usual with a super big hamper
their kids were so cute!!
will upload the pics when i am free
by then would be quite outdated tho
haha
till then~
