-What is Brazilian Waxing?

4) Hair regrowth is slow compared to trimming or shaving.
Questions and Answers on Waxing — Hair Removal—Depilation What is waxing - hair removal?
Waxing for hair removal completely removes the hair from the roots. This is a better alternative to shaving or hair removal creams because the new hair growth is much softer and with regular waxing, the re-growth will become slower and eventually a lot lesser hair in the area.
What to expect?
When you arrive, the therapist will do a consultation with you. You’ll then be taken to a waxing area or private room, depending on the area you wish to wax. The technician will then prepare the area by applying the pre waxing cleansing & sanitization before the waxing procedure.
Does waxing hurt?
The measurement of pain is relatively subjective, but it is a guarantee that when you wax with WaxXXX, the pain factor is reduced by a good 70%. The temperature of the wax is only warm on the skin and the removal is very gentle too.
Why not just shave?
Shaving basically crops off the hair on the skin surface. The re-growth is as fast as 12 hours or 8 for some men. The re-growth hair is stubbly and it is definitely most embarrassing when you accidentally “poke” somebody sitting or lying down next to you. Shaving also gives you razor burns and in more serious cases, discoloration of the skin in the shaved areas.
Will the hair grow back darker and thicker after waxing?
No, on the contrary, it comes back softer, thinner and weaker over time. The more often you wax, the better. It is recommended that you do not shave in between waxing.
Can I do my own waxing?
Yes & no. It depends on the area & the amount of hair needed to be waxed. It is not recommended that you wax delicate areas by yourself.
What about ingrown hair?
Ingrown hair is as a result of poor waxing techniques and dry or sensitive skin. This varies from individual to individual, due to the random direction of hair growth in the area, ingrown are possible. The proper way to wax is to apply the wax towards hair growth direction and to lift off at a proper angle against the hair growth direction. To avoid this, Wax XXX recommends that you adhere to the after-wax regime of exfoliation, the hair retard mousse, the Legole for ingrown hair treatment and the moisturizing milk with skin brightener.
What should I avoid before and after a waxing treatment?
• If you are using accutane, or any other anti-acne drugs,
Please consult with your doctor before a wax, these medications can sometimes thin the skin which can cause skin to be removed with the wax.
• If you are using RetinA, you should not wax the area being treated.
• Do not swim, suntan or work out right before or after a wax as this could cause the skin to breakout.
• You are advised to give yourself a scrub 8 hours before, on the area being treated, this will help reduce ingrown.
And so I did my Brazilian at Wax XXX and it was a really pleasant experience! The very professional Hazel did it for me, carefully explaining the type of wax that she used, and explaining every procedure to me. It was totally relaxing during the whole process.
I wouldn’t say that it’s totally painless. However, I would assure you that it’s perfectly bearable! There won’t be screamings etc! Just like little pricks on your skin, that’s all!
Wax XXX uses non-strip waxes! Hazel used Rice Wax and Perfect Pink Wax on me. She chosed the type of wax to use depending on your hair type. The wax are soothing and doesn’t cause any irritation to the skin at all. The Rice Wax is formulated with Rice from Japan and this fantastic low temperature formula moisturizes the skin as they wax. This is suitable for sensitive skin and also effective for coarse hair.Furthermore, Hazel prep my skin for waxing with Jasmine oil prior to the procedure. It acts as a protective barrier for the skin.

Rose Extract Body Scrub
This gentle scrub is made up of microbeads. It foams up yet rinses off without any residue, removes dead skin cells which will help prevent ingrown hair. Skin is left feeling clean and refreshed. Use it on your entire body to prevent body breakouts too!
Nourish Milk
This is a non-greasy, lightweight lotion to provide moisture to post waxing area for up to 24 hours, to soothe the skin and prevent discomfort.
Wax XXX Hair Retard Mousse
This is a Papain rich mousse which will weaken hair and slows down the regrowth of new hair. It also acts as a skin exfoliator. Apply with a light massage after waxing. The menthol that it contains is also soothing and refreshing! Use it daily after shower for 7 days after waxing treatment!
Wax Legole Anti Ingrown Hair Lotion
This lotion reduces ingrown hair and red bumps after waxing. It’s a slightly acidic lotion that allows hair to break through the skin without obstruction. It also relieves the irritation that’s caused by razor bumps.

I received a card and a rose as the invitation to the Heroine Make Princess Ball some time in June. It was a really sweet gesture!
It was quite an unique event as all attendees were requests not to put on any eye makeup that day. I was so lazy thinking that since I can put on makeup there, I went to the event bare-face. Brave or what? Hahahah…. I think I gave Lynn a shock when she saw me hahahah…
We took a measurement of our eye without any makeup on right before the event. We were supposed to apply our eye makeup with Heroine Make products and compare the difference after that!

Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Cover Powder
I used Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Cover Powder as my base makeup. I’m actually quite impressed by it! The powder is smooth and fine, and provides quite a good coverage. The powder puff that came with it is worth a mention too. Its puffy and super soft!
I went out for shopping and a movie after the event and I noted that the Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Cover Powder has got really good sebum control. There was absolutely no shine and no need for any touch up. I even asked Jon Jon to check my complexion to see if my powder is too heavy (because I normally use light BB cream only), but he said no and that my complexion was nice and even.
I want to buy this powder after my current touch up powder finishes! So I went on to check the product info. Besides my review above for it’s plus points, it also comes with SPF30 PA++ sunscreen support against harmful UV rays. Comes in 2 shades, 01 Light Beige and 02 Natural Beige.

I’ve been using this Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner ever since I got it in my goody bag.
Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner is a super long lasting eyeliner that doesn’t smudge at all! I love drawing the winged liner and sometimes when my eyeliner gets smudged, it looks really terrible. You can also see from the above photo that it has got a ultra fine thin brush. It is only 0.1mm and allows me as much precision as I want. For this who prefers a natural look with a thin eyeliner, this is highly recommended. Verdict: I’m now a convert. 
Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara
Used this mascara to achieved the look above.
Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara has received very good reviews. It gives dramatic length and long lasting curl. I used the eyelash curler to curl my lashes and subsequently applied the mascara to increase the length and volume and to hold the curl. It’s waterproof formula prevents any smudging so no worries for tearing or perspiration!

My favourite Grandpa Doctor had advised me to eat more, and eat more meat for the longest time. But then I’ve got quite a small appetite and meat is top on my favorites. I’ll try to eat more (but I dun wanna balloon la! hahah) and eat more nutritious food. If not my health is bad, skin is bad, hair is bad. I’m gonna try and be healthier! Yay!

You just let them know what kind of taste you like and they will customize it for you. Eh… the drinks weren’t too bad! And it has a nice and cosy environment for chit chat…. Well, we started playing some “Werewolves” game there…. \(^^)/
And their furnishings and displays there are for sale! Some aren’t very cheap!

However, I didn’t see a significant lightening of my dark eye rings. But to be fair, my dark eye rings have always been really terrible since I was a kid. Hahaha… My under eye area is more hydrated and I look less tired! And I have to say that the packaging of this eye cream is a superb idea! Most eye creams comes in tubs and I have to stick my finger inside to get some which may contaminate the whole tub. I like this “no contact” little pump packaging!
