I’m terrible when it comes to DIY manicures. Even if its just painting one single colour without any fanciful designs. But i wanted to learn how to do it properly and was glad to come across The Faceshop Nail Dot Pen when I was shopping for nail polishes a few weeks back!
Pink bottle: Base coat
Green bottle: Top coat
Clear bottle: A clear polish with lots of bling bling stuff inside!
The pen looking like thing is the Nail Dot Pen! There’s 3 colours: Black, White and Sliver

I painted 2 coats of black and after it dried, I started dotting with the Nail Dot Pen!

Side note: After I used the right hand to dot my left hand… there’s the sudden realization…”How to use my left hand to dot my right hand?!” Hahahahaha….
Of course it was a struggle but managed it! Although I took much longer!
I like the Nail Dot Pen! Make things so much easier! But I really dunno whether I got a faulty one or what…. The cap is so tight that its so difficult to remove!

Thanks to Benefit for the complimentary brow shaping session! I went to Benefits Tangs Orchard for my brow shaping session and I’ve to say that I love it!
The lady that attended to me was called Yen, and she was really nice and meticulous. First, she asked if I’ve done waxing on my brows before to check that I’m ok with it. Oh ya, I forgot to mention that Benefits Brow Bar doesn’t do the usual plucking and shaving, but waxing, and a little of cutting to shape the brows.
Yen removed the makeup on my eyebrow first and used a white eyeliner (I think so!) to draw the shape of my brows. She let me see it in the mirror to see if I like it before proceeding. Yen dipped a stick into a pot of hot wax, put a strip of white cloth over it and pressed it down. After a second or two, she pulled up the strip up really fast and there it is… My “extra” messy eyebrows are gone.
After waxing, Yen used a little brow scissors to trim and further shape my brows. No, she didn’t leave me at the finished brow and let me go and continue my shopping in town. Yen took her brow makeup kit and filled in my brows for me before the session ended.
Yen was asking if I wanna do upper lip waxing too, but I was a scaredy cat and worried that it’ll hurt. So I gave it a miss!

Met up with the girls Lena and Suwoon at The Pigeonhole! Suwoon wanted to try out nice and new coffee place and did a research online and we decided to try out this place! Its quite an exciting place!

The girls who were there really early brought work there to do! Which means there’s wifi right??
I didn’t managed to take a photo of the menu but it made in the image of a law document! So cute! There were a wide variety of coffees but only 2 selection for food. Kettle chips and a pudding. That’s all. We ordered the pudding, and the pudding made up for the lack of choices, because it was yummy! The food and coffee were reasonably priced too!
Then came my blonde moment:
Lena and I went to the counter to place our orders and I wanted to pay her for what I ordered. And so I did a mental calculation… “Pudding, $6…. Latte, $4.50…” Then I took out $12.50 from my wallet to pay her….
I think I should go and bang the wall……

Friends are wonderful people… There are so many who came over to see me, so many who refuse to let me stay at home and asked me out, and those who called and sms-ed or FB messaged. Some whom I have not met in years! Serene even told me, “Friends are like stars… You may not see them all the time, but they are there.” How wonderful is that? I’m really very touched. Of course, I didn’t whip out my camera every single time (especially when I’m wearing my pyjamas, with messy hair and looking terrible with swollen eyes… hahah…). I only took very few photos over these 3 long weeks! Of course I’m better already. And i’m ready to smile to the camera again!
The minute Celeste touched down form her flight, she dragged me out to meet Jez!

I’ve been wanting to change the Chinese character of my chinese name since last November and I finally went did it today. No, I do not hate my name, in fact I love it a lot. It has got a beautiful meaning behind it.
“心仪” actually means something/someone you admire. For example, 我心仪的偶像、你心仪的男生. So everyone has been calling me “someone they like”…. Hahahah…. I always think that my father is brilliant for giving me this name!
Some had told me years back that this name. combine with my surname is actually no good. Of course, that is if you believe that your name affects your life. No no no I’m not interested in going into a debate over religion and all. This is personal to me anyway. So, my ex-colleague recommended the master she has been visiting for more than 10 years to me. I gave Master my details and he did a very detailed analysis for me.
I’m not going into details as to to how my old name will affect me. But yeah, Master gave me a whole list of characters that I can use for my new name. There are many but he told me if I do not want a drastic name change, I can still keep the same sound, so I just changed the middle character. Its still pronounced as “xin”.
So here’s my new name! 苏芯仪！I put them all in traditional chinese and hence 蘇芯儀！
I added a “草字头” to my “心”。 So “心” became “芯”。
And my friend, Leslie, commented on my Facebook “人家美女脑生草。你是有腦的美女心生草“
唉… 至少我的心還沒痛得一點養分都沒有。還能生出草來已經很不錯咯。很快就會有陽光和滋潤，很快會開出美麗的花朵！:) (可是我沒有花心喔~~呵呵…)

This is long long overdue… A random night out with my fellow MFP blogger, Yirong! She knew that i was feeling troubled, and purposely asked me out hoping that I’ll feel better. How nice can this girl be?!

I really felt better and its really sweet of her to specially arranged a dinner to keep me company. Thanks Yirong… Love ya!

Eco Music Challenge 2011 is an online song-writing competition organised by the National Environment Agency (NEA) for talented and passionate individuals to express their appreciation and support for our beautiful environment through music. And I attended their showcase of their season 1 winners last week.

It hasn’t been a good 2 weeks for me. Yup. I’ve finally reached the end of my emotional roller coaster. Not a happy ending for me, I’ve been pretty devastated at many things that I couldn’t comprehend and will never understand. But since it has ended, I WILL have to move on, and move on to better things that lies ahead of me.

I want to thank every single one of my friend who sent me messages, sms-ed/whatsapp-ed, called me, met up with me, and the many who put away everything and came running to my house over this 2 weeks. I want to thank my family who has been loving me. I realized I’m such a blessed girl. There are still so many who love and treasured me. I love you all too. I’ll be there for you, if you need me anytime.
No doubt I’m going to take a while to recover. But I’ve decided not to hurt myself further and walk on the road to recovery. Bear with me people, I still need your love and support. But I’ll be alright soon.

I’ve been doing pole for a while now but I did miss lessons because of events to attend, and me giving way to all the sickness… But I’m still very in love with it! But every time after lesson, I’ll get lots of bruises on both of my legs! Yirong and Celeste are two of my consultants and I’m going to better my tricks!
Went on Wednesday noon to make up for all the lesson I missed! There weren’t many students since its a weekday noon! Love it!
