August 18th, 2012 Brazilian Waxing @ Beauty Affairs

Was invited to my first brazilian waxing to Beauty Affairs by my fellow mfp mate, Herine.

 

 

The whole treatment was done by the founder of WAX XXX, Hazel Menon. The procedure was done professionally, comfortably and not the least awkwardness. Was chatting away with Hazel throughout and spamming her with so many questions. So she finally enlightened me about the fact that there’s also a huge amount of men who does boyzilian.

 

Beauty Affairs uses WAX XXX for all their waxing treatments. The wax is formulated with rice from Japan, and the low heat formula definitely moisturizes when waxed. And it’s also suitable for people with sensitive skin and also effective for coarse hair.

 

 

Here’s the pink wax, I’m told that this contains rose extract and it’s stronger wax mainly for the “stubborn ingrown”

 

 

So you might ask, does waxing hurt?

 

Actually pain is quite subjective. But it is guaranteed that when you wax with WAX XXX, the pain factor is reduced by a good 70%. I experienced it personally and I find it least painful. I guess it probably lies on the skills of the therapist and the wax used as well.

 

I highly recommend y’all to try waxing instead of shaving because waxing for hair removal removes the hair from roots entirely. And the new hair growth will be much softer, slower and lesser with regular waxing.

 

I will say, I’m definitely going for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th session and as long as I can in future. It feels totally fresh and hygienic especially when girls go through their monthly “thing”.

 

Well, after the waxing session I was given a full set of homecare products and taught the right way to use them. Intimate areas need to be well taken care of too, just like our face.

 I’m lovin’ the Hair Retard Mousse (it gives a cooling sensation and not only weakens hair and it also slows down the re-growth of new hair)  & Rose Extract Scrub (rejuvenates the skin leaving a toned and brighter skin).
