Hello New Hair Color!

After a disastrous journey to what I’ve come to call “Blonde Land”, I’ve decided to dye my hair a darker color.

Even though going blonde was not as successful as I had hoped, I’m glad I got the chance to try it out, even if only for a little bit. :)

For you curious ones, I used L’Oreal’s Sublime Mousse (Pure Dark Blonde) over my bleached hair to get it to its current color. After the first application, the color looked a little bit on the ash gray side, but after a couple of washes it turned into a more ash brown. Whew! Another possible color disaster dodged! ;D I have to say that I really like using L’Oreal hair dye products. The bleaching kit is good and the mousse is great! The evenness of the color you get with the Sublime Mousse is beyond words! I mean, I’ve never gotten such even coverage with regular hair dye before! Having the mixture in mousse form definitely helps!!! I think if you’re a first time DIY hair dye-er, USE L’OREAL SUBLIME MOUSSE!!!

So don’t be afraid to try bold things! Whether that be going from dark hair to the lightest of hair colors or eating something at a restaurant that you’ve never tried before; being bold can be a good experience.

With all motivational speeches aside, I’ve been so addicted to wearing blazers recently! I have no idea when it started exactly but one day I noticed the sudden growth in the number of blazers in my closet…I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, it wasn’t that long ago that I was wearing my skinny jeans, plain shirts, and F21 knockoffs of Toms shoes on a daily basis—my phase of going “all natural” (plain, or what I had classified as normal clothes, minimal makeup, and hair in a low bun). I figured that this required the less effort and most efficiency with my art-making—this worked especially well for my woods class. Lol. Now that I’m approaching college graduation I guess I have a subconscious desire to dress in a more professional manner. Having my internship definitely helps too. I mean knowing that my boss will be unhappy to see me in my most haggard state definitely boosts up my desire to dress properly when I come in. All in all it definitely makes me happy that my wardrobe has grown up alongside me during this school year. :)
